Promoting same sex marriage is current trend in many countries, todat\y, I heard about Taiwan's case. In Taiwan, there was Referendum in last year about permitting same sex marriage or not.

In the background, there was a judgement that the Civil law of Taiwan is unconstitutional and then, discussion had started.

However, the result of vote was complete lose of group which desire to revise civil law to allow same sex marriage.

This shows that majority of Taiwan think same sex marriage as unnecessary thing, and people concerned it were deeply shocked and disappointed because they actually faced with real reaction from others to their sexualities.

Is it appropriate to use referendum?
